Iron & Velvet
For Iron & Velvet, a lifestyle and fashion retail brand inspired by motorcycle culture, I created a logo that reflects both strength and refinement. The brand is built around themes of freedom, adventure, and fearlessness, with a particular focus on empowering men and women aged 35 to 54, and I wanted the identity to capture that duality.
The bold gothic letterform at the heart of the logo conveys a sense of heritage, toughness, and timeless confidence, while the sharp, flowing lines add a touch of elegance and modernity. Paired with a strong, blackletter-inspired wordmark, the design strikes a balance between the raw energy of motorcycle culture and the sophistication of high-quality fashion. The end result is a versatile and commanding visual identity that embodies the brand’s name, Iron & Velvet, and resonates with both riders and non-riders alike.
